One Health Opens Peer Support Center in Harlem

August 9, 2023

HARLEM, MONT. – One Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with locations in Montana and Wyoming offering integrated primary care, behavioral health, public health, and wellness programs, opened a new peer support center in Harlem. The Connection Center is located in the same building as the clinic at 530 Central Ave W in Harlem.

“This new drop-in center focuses on healing, opportunity, prevention and education. It creates connection for community members through peer support,” said Dr. David Mark, CEO of One Health. “The Connection Center strives to meet people where they are at and offer services that will help move them in a healthy and healing direction.”

Peer support focuses on loving where you live, being a good parent, having healthy and loving relationships, being a part of building a positive community, feeling good about the life you are living, and finding joy and peace in each day. One Health Peer Support Specialists walk by your side through advocacy, coaching, mentoring, group facilitation, and building community.

The Connection Center can help when you need:

-- to talk
-- to pray
-- help finding employment
-- help through addiction
-- hygiene items
-- access to the internet or a computer
-- help with daily needs (diapers, food, clothes)
-- a support group
-- parenting classes
-- a snack / something to drink

The Connection Center is open Monday through Fridays from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. No appointment is necessary.
